As most of you may know, especially given this is our second time participating in this event (love that it falls on my bday and we get this day together) My youngest daughter Sofia (now 16 yrs old) has battled with anxiety and depression. In June 2022 my biggest fear almost came true when Sofia attempted (almost successfully) to take her own life. She was not supposed to be here…. But in a beautiful miracle…she is. I am so grateful that she was given a second chance. The amount of pain and fear we all had through that time is something I pray most will never have to endure. But she is here. She is thriving. We are nearing the second anniversary of the hardest moment of our lives and I am so proud of her strength and perseverance. I am so beyond grateful to have watched her not only thrive but Inspire so many others around her. She will forever be the strongest person i am blessed to know. The journey ahead may get challenging again but we are in this together. Without the resources that were provided to her and our family through organizations such as this..I may be telling a very different story. So many were not and will not be as fortunate to have more days with their loved ones. This June 9th, we walk together. As one. ❤️
